Power quality and energy efficiency

The purpose of our power quality solutions is to improve power quality, reduce electrical disruptions caused by poor power quality, and improve reliability in our customers’ operations. The power quality solutions help make our customers’ operations more efficient, reduce the amount of unused energy, decrease waste costs and extend the lifetime of the equipment. Additionally they reduce production downtime and loss of data and work.

With our power quality solutions, our customers can be sure that they comply with the recommendations, standards and requirements imposed by legislation regarding the power grid. The power quality solutions improve energy efficiency and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the industry.

Our power quality solutions comprise Merus® Active Harmonic Filters and Compensators, which filter disruptions in the electrical networks, caused for example by frequency converters, energy saving lights and computers connected to the network. Power quality problems endanger the stability of the grid and cause, for example, damage to electrical devices, increased downtime and production losses.
